Great record of audience and submitted works. This was the 21st Dental Day of Bahiana – JOBA, which took place on the 24th and 25th of May, occupying all the spaces in Pavilion III on the Cabula Campus. The event also featured the II Joba Digital and the XV Meeting of Former Dentistry Students of the Bahiana. In total, there were 716 registrants, 416 works submitted, 78 speakers and 50 evaluators, as well as exhibitors and collaborators, bringing together around 900 people. The opening ceremony took place on the night of May 24th, with the participation of the vice-rector of Bahiana, prof. Dr. Humberto Castro Lima Filho, the deans of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education Lato Sensu, professor Dr. Maria de Lourdes Freitas Gomes, and Extension, professor Dr. Carolina Pedroza, and the pro-rector of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Studies, prof. Dr. Atson Fernandes.

In all its editions, Joba pays special tribute to teachers who greatly contribute to the training of future dentists, who now give their name to the journey. Thus, Joba's Name was honored by professor Carla Figueiredo Brandão Maciel. Over the two days, the program included various types of academic and scientific activities, such as "Joba does it live", round tables, workshops, conferences, hands-on and many prize draws. For students in the 2nd semester of Bahiana, Guilherme Machado Rodriguez, the event was very important, both for its scientific content and for the possibility of expanding relationships. "It's a great opportunity for us students to understand Dentistry in more depth, the specializations, the future of Dentistry. I was also able to meet students from other institutions. You can meet a lot of people", he declared.

The student coordinator of the 21st Joba, Gustavo Pinheiro Silva, a 9th semester Dentistry student, attributed the success of the day to teamwork. Like Gustavo, Joba's teaching coordinator, Prof. Roberta Naves, highlights the support of Bahiana for holding the event. "We mobilized a large part of the Bahiana for what is one of the institution's biggest events, and I feel extremely grateful and happy that everything went well." In her words at the opening of the event, the coordinator of the Dentistry course at the Bahiana, Maria Cecília Azoubel, highlighted the participation of the student body in organizing the event. "Everyone knows Joba, but with each edition, its purpose becomes clearer: student protagonism. It is dreamed, planned and executed by students, for students", she highlighted. The 21st Joba awarded dozens of students and teachers in the categories Demonstration Table, Panel - Free Topic, Panel - Case Report, Oral Communication - Free Topic, Oral Communication - Case Report, Oral Communication - Project Forum and Oral Communication - Completed Forum.
