Bahiana holds 3rd National Meeting of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health (ENEIS)

The event took place from April 25th to 27th, bringing together important players in the health technology and innovation segment.

Innovation, technologies and exchange of experiences – an effervescent environment. This was the 3rd National Meeting of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health, held from April 25th to 27th. The event was held in a hybrid format (online and in-person), allowing people from all over Brazil and abroad to participate. The face-to-face format took place at Campus Cabula da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. ENEIS is a realization of the Bahiana, in partnership with the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Bahia (SECTI), Fiocruz, Senai/Cimatec, Uneb and the Brazilian Association of Health Startups, with the support of CAPES and sponsorship of Clínica de Terapia of Pain (CTD).

The first day of the event featured 12 thematic workshops focused on the development of innovative projects in the health sector. On April 26th, the official opening was held with the presence of several authorities, including the dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, the president of ENEIS and pro-rector of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Atson Fernandes, and the superintendent of Institutional Relations at Bahiana and recently installed national president of the Brazilian Association of Technological Research and Innovation Institutions, Dr. Diego Menezes, as well as representatives of partner entities. “The proposal of ENEIS is the dissemination of science in the health area, promoting an environment of articulation, with a view to forming collaboration networks, involving sectors such as Academia, Research Centers, Production Sector and Government to propose partnerships, in order to boost scientific and technological production, aiming at the development and well-being of our society”, highlighted the president of ENEIS.

The opening conferences were given by guests Dr. Walter Marinho (Geneseg Group), in person, and Mr. Inácio Arruda (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation) remotely, directly from Brasília. During the three days of events, more than 350 registrants were able to visit the Technology Fair, which featured 11 stands of health tech startups. The 3rd ENEIS concluded with the delivery of the best works presented throughout the program.
