Medicine Course holds 5th edition of Ginbah

Promote the dissemination of knowledge to students in the first semester of Medicine, students of the Biomorphology, First Aid and Instrumental Methodology components, based on information and creativity. This is the bias of Ginbah – Gymkhana Bahiana which, this semester, reached its 5th edition, last Saturday (28/10), with various activities carried out throughout the day, at Campus Cabula.

Ginbah is coordinated by the professors of the Intercursos Morphofunctional Sciences Group Suzana Araújo and Rafael Lélis, by the First Aid professor André Zimmermann and by the People Management coordinator at Bahiana, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro. In this edition, the competition brought two new features: a scientific poster presentation test, simulating an academic event, and the test carried out in partnership with the Bahiana Verde, in which students bagged organic compounds to win the right to ask questions in a quiz. “We created this activity with the aim of working on the institutional policy of preserving the environment and caring for planetary health”, highlights Rafael Lélis.

For Rafael Amaral, 5th semester Medicine student and Ginbah monitor, the gymkhana is an important moment, because, in addition to learning, students are happy to participate: “Ginbah encourages students to experience college in a pleasurable way. Learning stops being boring.” Gymnast and 1st semester student Isabelle Góes says that she was surprised by Ginbah's proposal. “I thought it would be more fun and that I wouldn't learn much, but I was wrong. In the first activity, I started writing down things about first aid that I didn't know, so I didn't imagine I would learn that much... And I did,” she celebrates.
