The manager of the Technology and Information Center of Bahiana, Cláudio Santos, participated in the RNP 2023 Forum, held on August 29, 30 and 31, in Brasília. The event is a space for meeting, relating, networking and updating on the main trends in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). At the Forum, the main actors of the national system of Science, Technology and Innovations debate the role of ICT in the development of education and research in Brazil and have the opportunity to build a common and innovative vision of the future.
According to Cláudio Santos, at the RNP Forum, critical issues such as the expansion of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, the adoption of emerging technologies (such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things) and strategies to promote digital inclusion in educational institutions, were discussed in depth. “These discussions are essential to guarantee that educational institutions in Brazil are prepared to face the technological challenges of the XNUMXst century”, he declared. He also pointed out that the event was an opportunity to establish partnerships and collaborations between institutions, promoting cooperation in the development of innovative solutions that can improve the quality of teaching, research and administration in universities and research centers in the country.
“The importance of this event lies in its ability to bring together IT professionals, researchers, managers and specialists, providing an environment for collaboration and knowledge sharing. This not only encourages the exchange of ideas and experiences, but also drives the development of innovative technological solutions aimed at education”, highlighted Cláudio Santos.
The initiative is the result of a partnership with the University of British Columbia (UBC), in Canada.
