Bahiana: A good place to work

A Bahiana received, for the second time, the Great Place to Work (GPTW) 2014 award, ranking fourth among the best companies in Bahia to work for. The ceremony took place on the morning of Tuesday, May 12, at the Sheraton Hotel in Bahia. The institution was represented by the HR Manager, Telma Bastos, and by the Personnel Development Manager, Prof.ª Luiza Ribeiro.

Organized by the Great Place to Work Institute, in partnership with the newspaper Correio da Bahia and the Brazilian Association of Human Resources (ABRH - Bahia), the award is being awarded for the second time in the state. In all, 35 companies participated in the GPTW-2014 survey, of which ten were awarded, which is twice the number of last year, which represented an amount of 25 thousand employees.

"We are 1.200 employees at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. And it is very difficult to think about management in the area of ​​education, it is something very new. For a school, it's very easy to take care of people, this is our core activity, so it's just a continuity of who we are", declared Prof.ª Luiza Ribeiro upon receiving the award.
