A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública celebrates 70 years of foundation, this Tuesday (31/05), with a special program that will be broadcast live on its official channel on YouTube, from 20 pm. The high point of the celebration will be marked by an interview and a show by the Bahian singer and songwriter Carlinhos Brown, recognized for his creations, always innovative and contemporary, which combine art with the appreciation of Brazilian culture.
In its history, the Bahiana, as the institution is known, has a trajectory that has been combining tradition with innovation. Through humanistic training of health professionals, the institution stands out for its research and extension actions, always aimed at benefiting society and the community in which it operates.
In its 70s, the Bahiana contributed to the training of thousands of health professionals, in undergraduate courses in Biomedicine, Physical Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Occupational Therapy, in addition to the training of masters and doctors, in its Stricto Sensu Medicine and Human Health, Psychology and Health Interventions and Health Technologies, and specialists in dozens of Lato Sensu courses.
