During the month of February, the Brazilian Society of Urology carries out a penile cancer awareness campaign. Due to lack of proper hygiene in this region of the body, many men have their penis amputated, partially or completely, every year. In Bahia, in the last 4 years (2018-2021) there were 609 cases of penile cancer.
The coordinator of the Childhood Urinal Disorders Center at Bahiana (CEDIMI), Dr. Ubirajara Barroso, who specializes in Genital Reconstructive Surgery, highlighted that there are positive results in foreskin removal procedures. Below, you can see the full article, published on February 2:
