A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública held, via a live YouTube broadcast, from November 3rd to 6th, its X Symposium on Biomedicine and the III Week of Biomedicine, bringing together professors, undergraduate and graduate students from several higher education institutions, as well as professionals and interested in the theme "Biomedicine in evolution", which guided the events. The opening table, held on the morning of November 3, was chaired by the former student from the first Biomedicine class at Bahiana Filipe Rego, currently a member of the institution's faculty, with the participation of the course coordinator, prof. Geraldo Ferraro, by professor Jéssica Araújo and honored professors Dr. Bernardo Galvão and Dr. Amâncio Souza.
"This year, we chose the theme of Biomedicine in evolution, as it is a profession that, every day, is renewed, always following the path of science as a tool that improves people's quality of life", declared Filipe Rego. The prof. Bernardo Galvão commented on the tribute paid by the organizing committee of the Symposium: "The most important thing is to see our students shining. In this, I say that I had some success. The training of researchers and health professionals in Brazil is extremely important and I stay very happy to be here and very moved by this honor".
Over the four days of the meeting, round tables, lectures, artistic interventions and presentations of scientific works were held. The last day of the program was marked by the realization of seven short courses.
