Bahiana holds V Congress Labyrinth of Autism - Science and its evidence

The Interdisciplinary Autism Research Laboratory (Labyrinth), linked to Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, held, from October 7th to 9th, the V Congress Labyrinth of Autism – Science and its evidences. The program brought together the most important experts on the subject, through virtual meetings, broadcast by the official channel of the Bahiana on YouTube, enabling greater accessibility to the most diverse audiences, with a total of 348 subscribers.

On the first day of programming, the pre-congress was held, dedicated to parents and guardians of children with autism, with lectures and short courses. The 8th and 9th were of intense discussion on the subject, bringing together parents of children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and professionals who are experts on the subject. Throughout the program, scientific panels were also presented with oral communication, in addition to artistic performances with autistic children and young people. The V Autism Labyrinth Congress – Science and its evidence culminated with the launch of the book “Labyrinth Manual for the diagnosis of autism and associated symptoms”, organized by Daniele Wanderley and professors at Bahiana, Gustavo Siquara and Milena Pondé, members of Labirinto.
