Bahiana promotes the 2nd Bahia Digital Health Workshop

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública held, on March 19, the 2nd Workshop Digital Health Bahia, with the objective of bringing together public, private and university agents to promote a discussion with the purpose of promoting research and development of cyberstructure, entrepreneurship and innovation in health in Bahia. The event was part of the official program of the 2nd National Meeting of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health – ENEIS.

The opening table was composed by the coordinator of the 2nd Workshop Digital Health Bahia and the Technology and Innovation Center of Bahiana, Cláudio Santos, the full professor and coordinator of the Distance Education Center and the Technologist course in Health Informatics at Bahiana, Prof. Marta Menezes, the professor of the Technologist course in Health Informatics at Bahiana, president and founding member of the Institute of Education in Medicine and Health, Dr. Renato Sabbatini, and the specialist in health of the National Education and Research Network, Dr. Paulo Lopes.

The schedule consisted of two panels. The first, "The future of the Digital Health professional", was moderated by prof. Paulo Ambrósio (UESC), with presentations by professors Renato Sabbatini, with the theme "The IT professional in Health of the future: what does the market expect?", Marta Menezes, with the theme "Competencies for the training of IT professionals in Saúde", and Daniel Santos (Manole/InfoMED), on "The value of online platforms for accessing clinical, scientific and educational knowledge".

With the theme "Digital Health and Challenges for Bahia", the second panel opened with a presentation by the general coordinator of the Information Technology Infrastructure of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Bahia, Grinaldo Oliveira, who spoke about the advances of digital health in the state. Moderated by Professor Paulo Lopes, presentations by the Cyberinfrastructure Working Groups were also held, with Luiz Barreto (Remessa/PoP-BA/RNP); Telehealth Care, with José Cristiano Soster (Telehealth Center – DAB/SESAB) and Education in/in Health – Advances and Challenges, with Érica Menezes (Telehealth Center – DAB/SESAB). The event concluded with a discussion of the works presented, in order to contribute and promote digital health in the State of Bahia.
