The Dentistry course at Bahiana held, last Saturday (28), the 19th Pre-Joba, scientific activity that brought together students and professionals in the field of oral health from various educational institutions, with the aim of promoting technical improvement, integrating segments and fields of activity. The activity took place from 8:17 am to XNUMX:XNUMX pm and was broadcast on the official channel of the Bahiana, YouTube. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dentistry Day of Bahiana (JOBA) will be held in 2021.

The opening table was attended by the coordinator of the undergraduate course, prof. Urbino Tunes, and the coordinating professors of Pré-Joba, Francisco Simões and Carla Brandão, and academic Natália Nunes. According to prof. Urbino Tunes, the event was created in 2002, with the aim of developing in students skills and competences in organizing an academic event. "They also develop leadership and teamwork, so that this can add, in their professional training, elements that will help them to enter functional work environments," he highlighted. Natália Nunes highlighted that, despite imposing barriers, the pandemic and social isolation took the event to the virtual environment, enabling access to various contents, which would hardly be possible through the face-to-face method.

The program included lectures by important exponents of national dentistry, such as Maristela Lobo, Rafael Celestino, Diana Feitosa and Gleice Oliveira.
