Biomedicine digital event features renowned speakers

Registration for the IX Symposium on Biomedicine of Bahiana will be open until 30/10.

With the theme "Biomedicine and the challenges of art, environment and public health", the IX Symposium on Biomedicine of Bahiana will take place from November 3rd to 7th, during which the II Biomedicine Week will also take place. The action will feature lectures by renowned professionals in Biomedicine such as Dr. Jaqueline Góes, one of those responsible for sequencing the coronavirus genome in Brazil. The event will be streamed live via the YouTube Channel at Bahiana and places are limited to 500 participants. The symposium will bring together students, professors and professionals from different cities in Brazil. Whose objective is to promote the expansion of knowledge about Biomedicine and its areas of expertise. Therefore, the action will provide the exchange of scientific knowledge through short courses, roundtables and sections for exposition of scientific works, aiming at the construction of an innovative practice for technological development in the Biomedical area.

The investment for students of Bahiana is BRL 40,00; for students from other HEIs, R$ 50,00 and, for health professionals, R$ 60,00. Integrating the schedule, the short courses will be offered for R$ 15,00 each, being necessary to be registered in the event to participate.

Agenda
Renowned professionals such as Dr. Jaqueline Góes, Dr. Silvio José Cecchi (President of CFBM), Dr. Djair de Lima Jr (President of CRBM2), Prof. Dr. Sócrates Matos, Dr. Aristeu Vieira, Dr. Débora Magnavita de Alencar and Prof. Me Brunno Câmara will address pertinent and current topics such as “Biomedicine in Brazil and Bahia”, “Biomedicine in Biomedicine Aesthetics, evolution, perspectives and adaptations”, “COVID-19 and SARS-COV-2: from the genome to the vaccine” , “The Biomedical in Epidemiological and Sanitary Surveillance in the (SARS-CoV-2)” and “Human Ecology & Pandemics”. The event is coordinated by Prof. Me Gabriel Andrade Nonato Queiroz, Master in Biotechnology in Health and Investigative Medicine.
