Taking care of ours is a priority and, for that, the Bahiana developed the Quality of Life Program, offering services aimed at the well-being of students, teachers, employees and the community.

HYDROGINASTICS

Exercises and activities for the restoration of physical fitness levels, carried out in the swimming pool of the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Medical Center of Bahiana (campus Brotas).

The service is free for employees assisted by the Viva Coração program and referred by the Occupational Medicine Service. Other interested parties should contact the Physiotherapy Clinic for information about values.

PILATES
Collaborators/teachers

Technique for recovering physical fitness levels, developing strength, flexibility and restoring good posture. The activities are carried out at the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Medical Center of Bahiana (campus Brotas).

Enrollments are free for employees referred by the Occupational Medicine Service.

LABOR GYMNASTICS
Free | Contributors

Practice of exercises designed according to the professional activity performed, effective for the prevention of Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSD).

Sessions held in sector rooms, in visits conducted by teams of academics and professionals from the institution.

Due to the new coronavirus pandemic, sessions are taking place in an online format.

WELFARE

Music education program based on percussive rhythms that are part of everyday life. It provides employees – especially people with disabilities – an alternative space for integration, sociocultural training and leisure.

Meetings on Wednesdays, at 16 pm, in the parking lot of the Dental Center at Bahiana (Cabula Campus).

Practice that promotes physical, emotional and spiritual balance, contributing to the individual's overall health.

R$ 150,00 per semester, paid in 6 installments | Collaborators, teachers and students.

Medical guidelines, nutrition, control and prevention of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

Viva Coração promotes actions such as:

- Referral to physical activities

Specialized and pioneering service in Bahia, which aims to promote knowledge and homeopathic treatment. It can be done together with allopathic treatment.

Attendances on Saturdays (once a month) at the Medical Center of Bahiana.

Professional guidance for people seeking to overcome the smoking habit.

The activity is based on the National Support Program for Smokers/Quitting Smoking without Mysteries and includes interprofessional, clinical and functional capacity assessment, with individual assistance.
