Death note: prof. Agnaldo David de Souza

It is with immense regret that we, Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, we communicate the death of prof. Dr. Agnaldo David de Souza.
A recognized cardiologist, he was adjunct professor of Cardiology at the Federal University of Bahia – UFBA, associate fellow of the American College of Cardiology, full member and former president of the Academy of Medicine of Bahia.

From 1995 to 2020, it provided enormous services to the Foundation. Bahiana for Science Development, sponsor of our institution, as a member of the Board of Trustees, having been president for three consecutive terms, from 1996 to 2008. He was also a member of the Brazilian Institute of Ophthalmology and Prevention of Blindness – IBOPC.

Man of integrity, competent professional, teacher very dear to his students, he was a great friend and companion on the journey of prof. Humberto de Castro Lima.

Prof. Agnaldo leaves behind three children: Luiz Agnaldo, Lúcia Helena and Isabela.

He also leaves him with an enormous nostalgia and the image of a human being who is always kind, polite, happy and caring for all those who had the privilege of living with him.
