With games, dynamics and lots of animation, the third edition of Gymkhana Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública – GINBAH was held on October 19, at Campus Cabula. At strategic points, medical students monitored, directed and evaluated the Yellow, Green, Blue and Red teams. Professor Maria Suzana Araújo, coordinator of the Morphofunctional Laboratory, guided the activities and challenges proposed together with professors André Zimmermann and Adson Figueiredo, professors of the First Aid curriculum component.

In the morning, there were challenges of Treasure Hunt, Mistakes Game, Proof of 9 and Circuit. In the afternoon, the tests called "School Bahiana of Fine Arts” and “The last passenger” were performed. In addition to these activities, there was a surprise event in partnership with SALVAR (Fire Brigade). The test consisted of a simulation of face-to-face hospital emergency care with victims of traffic accidents. Finally, the “GINBAH Cup”, structured in six stages, was completed by the teams.

For Professor André Zimmermann, the competition, which was created three years ago, aims to integrate the disciplines of First Aid and Anatomy, being promoted by students and professors of the Medicine course. “The activity mobilizes freshmen, who make up the colored teams, and veterans, who are monitors of the Morphofunctional Sciences and First Aid curriculum components, in addition to counting on the support of the course's professors”, details the student.

Veteran Marlon Roberto Santos, third semester student of Medicine and monitor of the Morphofunctional Sciences group, considers that the scavenger hunt is the opportunity for students to apply knowledge in a fun way: “This initiative is very important, because, learning becomes lighter”.
