A social action to promote information about health. This is the purpose of the First Aid Course prepared by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública for the Rio dos Macacos quilombola community. The course, which takes place on September 14th and 28th and October 19th, in Simões Filho, is aimed at this population and aims to promote self-care, accident prevention and first aid practices. 
 
The students of Bahiana, who are monitors of the curricular component of first aid, will participate in the course as helpers, with the aim of experiencing an experience that aims to sensitize them as future health professionals and understand how work works in a community. 
 
The course is coordinated by Professor of Public Health Silvio Roberto Mediana and Professor of Biomedicine Gabriel Andrade Nonato. The modules of the classes will be: Vital signs; Clinical emergencies; Foreign body obstruction of airways; Cardiorespiratory resuscitation; Band Aid; Burn; Bleeding; Intoxication and Poisoning.

Classes are aimed at the Rio dos Macacos quilombola community.

A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously.
