In honor of Psychologist's Day, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública performed the II Psychology Conference, on August 27, from 8 am to 12:30 pm, in Pavilion III of Campus Cabula. The event, whose theme was Training in Psychology, was coordinated by Professor Sylvia Maria Barreto, coordinator of the Psychology course at Bahiana. The professor and manager of the Psychology Clinic at Bahiana Health, Myla Arouca, the pedagogical supervisor Ruth Aragão, the students of the Psychology course at Bahiana Legisvane Ribeiro, Laís Becker, Jamile Dórea, Regina Alves, Indiara Rocha, Amanda Leão, Millen Carvalho, Lucas Cardoso, Ricardo Lopes and graduates Nathalia Sá and Fernando Lopes also participated in the organizing committee of the initiative.
Upon entering auditorium I to witness the opening of the day, the public was faced with low lights, chairs distributed in a non-linear way, exhibitions of mannequins and artistic decoration. The objective, according to the organization, was to introduce the concept of pattern breaking in academic training. Then, the audience watched a video monologue by the student Millen Carvalho, referring to the political, social and economic context of Brazil. After showing the video, the students actively participated in the Collective Reflections on Education in Psychology, mediated by Professor Anna Amélia Faria. The explanations were led by the students present in the auditorium.
