High school students experience the Bahiana for one day
Students at Colégio Favo got to know the academic structure of the institution.

The June 5th edition of the program Bahiana for a day provided the students of the College Favo, Rescue unit, an afternoon of academic experiences. the courses of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública were presented individually, an average of 20 minutes per faculty.
When starting the activities script, the students explored the Morphofunctional Laboratory, guided by monitors from the Morphofunctional Sciences Group – GCM. Maurício Argolo, one of the GCM monitors, emphasizes that the initiative of the Bahiana for one day is of great importance, as clarification on the health areas can be crucial in the student's professional choice. “If I had this opportunity, I would enter the Medicine course with much more foundation”, points out the monitor.
Then, in room S08 of Pavilion III, professor Eulália Pinheiro explained the objective of the Physiotherapy course and performed a dynamic on anatomy. The teacher highlighted that the program helps to arouse the curiosity of students, who, in turn, can take advantage of the moment to answer questions regarding the curricular components of the courses.
The exhibition of the Dental Center of Bahiana was carried out by the manager Lísia Oliveira. In the Movement Study Laboratory (Skills Laboratory), Professor João Franco explained how physical activity is part of our daily lives. The activity on understanding nursing care was proposed by professor Cristiane Magali.
Former student, biomedicalist and employee, Emily Figueiredo, was responsible for mediating the demonstration in Microscopy at the Chemical, Physical and Biological Sciences Laboratory. And, to end the visit, the students met again at S08 and debated the Myths and Truths of Psychology under the guidance of psychologist and former student Lorilay Farias. Estefani Cerqueira, 17, approved the experience: “It was unique learning about each course, I became even more interested in the health area”.
