Bahiana achievement of International Quality Certification

The Medicine course of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública gained international recognition through the ISO 9001 certification, which corresponds to a group of technical standards in force in around 189 countries. Certification was received on February 1, 2019.

The institution prepared for two years and, according to Luciana Branco, manager of the Quality Management Center (NGQ). "This is an initial step in the process of consolidating the culture of quality, in which the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard were all met, as assessed by the certifier DNV-GL on November 12, 13 and 14, 2018" .

With this, the Bahiana is consolidated as one of the institutions, worldwide, which has the best practices in Quality Management associated with the support processes of the Medicine course, comprising all areas that are interrelated with the course's activities, such as libraries, secretariats, Pedagogical Supervision Center, Psychopedagogical Care Center, Teaching Laboratories, Information Technology Center, Equipment Maintenance Sector, GEFIN, Strategic Management of People and Learning, Student and Teacher Support Service, Institutional Relationship and PROIDD, in addition to the Commission Evaluation and Coordination of the course.
