Sports, Leisure and Culture Activities mark the XVIII MCC of the Bahiana

Slackline, abseiling and zipline were among the novelties of the scientific and cultural event.

Students and employees who participated in the XVIII Scientific and Cultural Exhibition da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública they were able to try practices such as Slackline, abseiling, zip line, volleyball, shuttlecock and adult games, promoted by the Physical Education course. In addition to these actions, art and culture through music, poetry, gastronomy and handicraft were present at the Cultural Tent. The activities carried out from 10 am to 17 pm, in the green area, marked the first day of the MCC and attracted a large number of people.

     
“The arrival of the Physical Education course encourages the practice of sports on a daily basis. Bringing this initiative to MCC was very interesting and demonstrates one of the differentials of the Bahiana”, says the 10th semester student of Dentistry, Laura Regina Santos, moments before presenting her digital poster at the library, along with other projects in the e-posters session.

Tenda Cultural provided leisure and culture through a space for students, employees and the external community. The environment featured several musical, gastronomic and handicraft performances. As stated by Júlia Macêdo, analyst at the Institutional Relations Nucleus (RELACI), “the Bahiana believes that art is aligned with health and science, that's why this action was developed with a student commission to integrate the scientific program”.

     
Laís Sales, a 2nd semester student of Biomedicine believes that mixing leisure, culture and knowledge encourages everyone to participate: “This set of actions makes university experience very pleasant”.
