Bahiana for a day | Integral College

The program Bahiana for one day of August 22, it was attended by students from Colégio Integral. The schedule, which is divided by area of ​​knowledge, provided high school students with contact with undergraduate courses and with the infrastructure of the Bahiana.

The high school students learned about the physical and curricular structure of the Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Physical Education, Nursing, Psychology and Biomedicine courses. The actions began at 14:10 pm and ended at 17 pm.

Starting the visitation itinerary, the Demonstration activity took place in room S01, Pav. III, with the aim of highlighting the practices of the Physiotherapy course. The person responsible for this stage was Professor João Amaro. To present the Medicine course, the monitors from the morphofunctional science group exposed, under the guidance of professor Suzana Araújo, the curricular components classified into four stations in the morphofunctional laboratory.

In Dentistry, the Administrative Manager of the Dental Center, Lísia Oliveira, presented the Dental Center of Bahiana, including its structure and forms of service.

At the Laboratory for the Study of Movement / Skills in Physical Education, the routine in Sports Science was explained by the professor and coordinator of the course, Clarcson Plácido.

Students were also able to learn and participate in behaviors involving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), at the Nursing Laboratory, with Professor Ronesca Santana Dias.

The activities related to Biomedicine were applied in the Microscopy Laboratory, with Professor Adalardo Carneiro. In room S07, PAV III, teacher and coordinator Sylvia Barreto mediated the activity “Myths and Truth about Psychology”.

The program Bahiana for a day it happens every two weeks, at Campus Cabula, and seeks to offer information about the undergraduate courses at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública to secondary education institutions. The objective is to promote academic experiences and professional guidance to students through dynamic activities.
