In an article published in the international edition of The Guardian, Dr. Aseem Malhotra, visiting professor at Bahiana, talks about the practice of modern medicine and public health. Quoting Professor Luis Cláudio Correia, director of the institution's Evidence-Based Medicine Center, Malhotra discusses the importance of maintaining common sense between the clinical decisions that need to be taken and the cultural practices and preferences of the patient that, if not in agreement , may not cooperate with the treatment.
