Bahiana For One Day - 2018

Students at Redemption College Brotas visited Campus Cabula and had academic experiences.

Program activities Bahiana For a Day began this year, on the 4th of April, with the visit of students from Colégio Resgate de Brotas to Campus Cabula. Welcomed by professors and students of the institution, visitors had contact with professors, academics and collaborators, being able to know, also, the infrastructure of the institution.

The program Bahiana For a Day seeks to support the work of professional guidance in secondary schools, providing students with information about the courses offered by Bahiana and contact with the institution's academic environment.

The visit began with the presentation of the Morphofunctional Laboratory by the monitors of the Morphofunctional Sciences Group of the Medicine course. Then, the group participated in an experimentation in Electrotherapy, a neurological physiotherapy activity coordinated by the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Bruno Góes, and by the undergraduate students.

     
The activities of the Dentistry course were coordinated by the administrative supervisor Lísia Oliveira, who presented the entire structure of the Dental Center at Bahiana Health. The students of Redemption College Brotas they also visited the Movement Study Laboratory, where the presentation of the laboratory routine in Sport Science was carried out, by the coordinator of the Physical Education course, Clarcson Plácido. At the Skills Laboratory, visitors were able to learn and participate in practices involving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), with Professor Ronesca Santana Dias from the Nursing course.

The Psychology course could be known by high school students through the Myths and Truths about Psychology activity, mediated by professor Sylvia Barreto, coordinator of the course. The visit ended, at the Microscopy Laboratory, with Professor Adalardo Carneiro from the Biomedicine course.
