I Multidisciplinary Conference on Breastfeeding takes place at the Cabula Academic Unit

On August 11th and 12th, in celebration of the Golden August, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública promoted the XNUMXst Multidisciplinary Conference on Breastfeeding, at the Cabula Academic Unit.
The program was coordinated by the professor of the Medicine course at Bahiana Conceição Maria Guedes Crozara, bringing together a multidisciplinary team, involving professionals from medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, nutrition, speech therapy and psychology, encompassing activities aimed at strengthening the promotion of breastfeeding in the first six months of life, and emphasizing the importance of support network around mother and baby.
August golden
The Golden August is a movement proposed since 2015 with approval by the Federal Senate in 2017, which encompasses all actions that promote adequate and timely healthy eating habits for the well-being of the child, from birth to two years of life or more, as well as strengthening support for the woman who breastfeeds and feeds her baby.
To symbolize the movement, the golden ribbon was the symbol chosen to represent the gold standard of quality in breast milk.
