A BAHIANA AND ALL ITS EMPLOYEES THANK MRS. LYDEX ANTUNES BARROS FOR SUCH A NOBLE ACT.

The playwright Sophocles (495 BC) once said that “the most beautiful thing is to be useful to others”. This phrase expresses a great truth, for the ability to serve is an honor perceived by few people and given to much less. It is an action that does good to the hearts of those who are still alive and to the spirits of those who have gone and left actions that contributed to someone's life.

The school Bahiana thanks and undertakes to do justice to the intention of the professor and lawyer Ms. Lídice Antunes Barros, who donated her body to the Institution for study and research purposes. Always concerned with social issues and linked to education, this was another noble act of the teacher who, even after she died, sought, in some way, to help others.
