Graduate Program: inaugural class 2017

Professors, students and researchers of the Postgraduate courses of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública participated in a special program, on February 10th, in the auditorium of the Convention Center, at the Cabula Academic Unit, when the inaugural class of the 2017.1 year was held.

The program began with a performance by the Canta choir Bahiana, followed by the lecture "Science, Religiosity and Health", given by the psychiatrist and professor of the Medicine course at Bahiana, André Carvalho Caribé de Araújo Pinho.

The meeting also allowed participants to get to know the master's and doctoral programs in Medicine and Human Health, presented by Prof. Dr. Aba Marice Teixeira Ladeia and in Health Technologies, by Prof. Dr. Aba Marice Teixeira Ladeia. Dr. Marcos Almeida. The lato sensu postgraduate courses and specializations were explained by the Dean of Extension Prof. Carolina Pedroza de Carvalho Garcia.

On the occasion, the Dean of Research and Innovation Prof. Atson Souza Fernandes presented the Meeting of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health (ENEIS), an initiative of Bahiana which aims to bring together specialists, professors, graduate and undergraduate researchers, investors and entrepreneurs in the area, in order to promote the formation of collaboration networks between academia, research centers, the productive sector and government. The idea is to foster the development of projects with the potential to generate innovative products, processes and services in the healthcare segment. ENEIS will take place on May 5th and 6th, at the Cabula Academic Unit Convention Center.

Doctor graduated by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, with residency in Internal Medicine through the Medical Residency program at Complexo Hospitalar do Heliópolis, São Paulo. Psychiatrist by the Medical Residency Program in Psychiatry at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Master and Doctor in Neurosciences from UFBA. Psychiatrist at the Center for Studies and Prevention of Suicide (NEPS-CIAVE). Professor of Psychiatry at Bahiana. Currently, he participates in the line of Research in Mental Health, Mood Disorders, Religiosity and Suicide.
