BAHIANA, from the councilors who embraced the idea from the beginning, professor Roseny, secretary Mrs. Lourdes, to Nucom and the employees. He also emphasized that bringing together professors, students and staff demonstrates the academic thinking and acting, typical of a university-sized institution such as BAHIANA. The main messages of this seminar focused on protecting the integrity and dignity of the research subject as the main function of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), that is, all research involving human beings must be submitted to a CEP; respect for people, beneficence and justice should guide research with human beings; Resolution 196/96 is the guideline and must be known to everyone involved with research on human beings and the Informed Consent Form is the consent of the research subject and must be properly elaborated.
Data presented by Professor Lucíola Crisóstomo showed the growing increase in research protocols analyzed by CEP, translating the significant growth in scientific production in all courses at the BAHIANA.
