Teaching Laboratories - Campus Cabula

Pavilion I
Laboratory 01
It has microscopes distributed on benches and a 65" TV with 4K resolution for access to the Histology Guide. In this laboratory, students expand their theoretical and practical knowledge in cytopathology, parasitology and hematology, based on the handling of microscopes to study slides.

Skills Lab 01
Dentistry
Laboratory for practical classes in Dentistry, Prosthetics and Aesthetics. In this laboratory, the student develops procedural skills of oral rehabilitation with mannequins that simulate the patient. A laboratory equipped with a light curing unit, vibrator and plaster cutter, amalgamator and eyeliner, in addition to dental equipment with reflectors installed on appropriate benches for the respective training.

Laboratory 02
Laboratory designed for practical activities on biomorphofunctional microscopic fundamentals. In this laboratory, students recognize the tissue aspects of the human body through active methodologies and the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). The space includes a 70'' TV with 4K resolution and a projector for accessing the Histology Guide, as well as a physical structure with tables and chairs that allow for variable assembly configurations for gamification and the application of Team Based Learning (TBL).

Skills Laboratory 02 - Physiotherapy
Laboratory where students will develop skills for body and sensory self-care practices, investigate human movement, conduct physiotherapy consultations; identify, handle and apply electrophysical resources and agents. This space also offers manual therapy and kinesiotherapy practices. Equipped with a 65" TV with 4K resolution.

Skills Lab 03
Realistic Simulation
In this laboratory, students develop, prepare and execute outpatient and hospital practices. The space is divided into five rooms, two of which have mirrors with microphones and speakers, equipped with an oxygen therapy panel, scales, hospital beds, and specific low and high fidelity mannequins that simulate realistic situations.

Pavilion II
Skills Lab 01
Dentistry
Laboratory for practical classes in Radiology, Orthodontics and Implantology. In this laboratory, the student develops practical skills focused on facial and smile aesthetics, including the examination of images. This space includes an anteroom with a radiographic device intended for the study of the diagnosis of oral and facial pathologies.

Laboratory 01
Laboratory for practical classes in Radiology, Orthodontics and Implantology. In this laboratory, students develop practical skills focused on facial and smile aesthetics, including imaging examination. This space includes an anteroom with an X-ray machine for studying the diagnosis of oral and dental pathologies, a 3D printer for making prosthetics, implants, restorations and dental work models, as well as dental equipment with reflectors installed on benches.

Laboratory 02
This laboratory has benches ideal for practices that use burettes, analytical and semi-analytical balances, centrifuges, vacuum pump, pH meter, bacterial colony counter and stereoscopic microscopes (magnifying glass). These equipments, combined with theoretical and practical knowledge, allow students to improve their knowledge in natural sciences, such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Laboratory 03
Human anatomy
This laboratory has synthetic anatomical parts that help students learn about Human Anatomy, establishing important skills that will be essential throughout their academic and professional life.

 Laboratory 04
Human anatomy
The laboratory has human, synthetic and cadaveric anatomical pieces that help the student learn about Anatomy of the Human Body and its systems, expanding the knowledge that will be used during academic and professional life.

Laboratory 05
The laboratory has equipment, such as a biochemical analyzer, spectrophotometer, centrifuge, scales (analytical and semi-analytical), bain-marie, oven (for sampling its operation), microscopes and sinks suitable for staining technique, being ideal for practical classes that biochemical tests, immunology practices, weighing substances, blood collection, reading slides and/or any other that requires these equipment and materials. Laboratory focused on the development of analytical-laboratory skills.

Morphofunctional Laboratory – Prof. Maria Suzana Vasconcelos de Araújo
Space for guided self-learning, with a vast collection of anatomical models, microscope slides, videos, books, games and various software that cover the basic areas of descriptive/functional anatomy and histology of the various organic systems. To optimize the collection, we provide a group of monitors who carry out interactive activities within the laboratory and in a virtual environment.

Technical support room for laboratories
Area intended for the exclusive activities of biomedical technicians/laboratory technicians, as well as the laboratory supervision office. It serves to prepare practical classes and supplies that will be used, such as dilution of solutions, preparation of culture media, washing and sterilization of materials, among others. The space has equipment that helps in this preparation, such as an autoclave, scale, drying oven, hot plate and exhaust hood.

pavilion III
Skills Lab 01
Advanced Force Studies Laboratory
Designed for physical and neuromuscular exercise practices, with a focus on prescribing physical training and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, aiming to develop skills related to planning, executing and guiding physical activity programs for different populations. It has specific equipment for bodybuilding and electromyography equipment responsible for capturing muscle assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

Skills Lab 02
PE
Intended for the practice of activities in the fitness and wellness area, recreation and leisure, in addition to body integrative practices. In this environment, the student develops the analytical capacity for the elaboration and execution of collective physical activities.
