Why Physical Education in Bahiana?

The Physical Education course at Bahiana aims to train professionals focused on ethics, respect, citizenship and technical-scientific competence, capable of acting in the most diverse levels of care, such as prevention, promotion, protection and rehabilitation of health. Its innovative curriculum, of increasing technical complexity, guarantees the articulation between theory and practice, from its initial periods to its specific curricular internships, allowing for a greater chance of employability. This course considers, in its design, the solidification of the graduate's identity as a health professional capable of working in diverse scenarios, such as clinics, primary care, gyms and sports and recreation and leisure advisory services.

THE COURSE

The professional trained by Bahiana

The Physical Education professional trained by Bahiana holds knowledge, procedures and attitudes based on humanistic, ethical, moral, social and aesthetic values. It is able to identify social demands and, thus, emanate an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the ability to manage and promote health in the public and private fields, using creativity and versatility.

Able to plan, prescribe, teach, guide, advise, supervise, control and evaluate projects and programs of physical, recreational and sports activities in the various development environments for these activities.

In addition to working in the clinic environment with prevention and rehabilitation, the professional is also able to work in communities meeting the requirements of primary health care, focusing on the new real scenario of insertion of the Physical Education professional in multidisciplinary teams.
