Why Health Informatics na Bahiana?

Health Informatics is today a well-established interdisciplinary applied science that uses modern information and communication technologies to capture and use medical and health data, information and knowledge for a multitude of applications.

The Health Informatics Technology course at Bahiana it is based on three main axes: information technology, health and management. In this way, the student acquires the knowledge and skills necessary to act in each of these axes, becoming a hybrid professional, capable of responding to the new demands of health, an area increasingly interconnected to technology, becoming the ideal interlocutor to transition between the three areas.

In the first two years, the student takes ten modules that cover the three axes covered. The last year is dedicated to professional practices, complementary activities, guided research and Course Completion Work. Carried out in the telepresence mode, the course has the support of active learning methodologies, ensuring accessible, modern and quality training.
